Understanding the buttons in the Transfer Window
| • | Transfer monitor - shows the status or progress of the transfer |
| • | Search Container folder - will show the location of your assets in the local directory of your computer |
| • | Stop /Pause/ Resume/ Done - function of the button differs depending on the state of the download |
| • | Preferences - Settings of Aspera |
Tabs in the Preferences window
General
Under this tab, the User can personalize the following items:
| ✓ | Set to automatically launch Aspera upon PC startup. |
| ✓ | Opens and closes the window when a transfer is added or completed. |
| ✓ | Remove items in the transfer window automatically or manually. |
| ✓ | Manage queues |
Transfers
| ✓ | Change the download location in the computer |
| ✓ | Set the system to retry the transfer process when failed - number of transfer and interval. |
| ✓ | Change the logging level of details in the back end logs created during the upload and download processes. |
Network
This tab will let the User configure how Aspera connects to the Internet.
Bandwidth
Since this tool can be maximized based on the bandwidth available, the User can set a limit for its download and upload speed in this tab.
Security
The User can set the list of secured sites, restricted hosts, password and content protection. This shall provide secure access to Aspera.
